The ideal candidate should exhibit strong communication, influencing, and problem solving skills towards all stakeholders. The associate filling this role will be accountable for the compensation design and consultation needs related to roles which exist in multiple lines of business, as well as oversight of our salary structures and policies.



Responsibilities:



+ Working in an Agile delivery environment, partner with members across the compensation community and the Workday tech team to identify, prioritize, and implement enhancements to the Workday Advanced Compensation system and related processes

+ Partner with other compensation professionals on a pod to review and redesign Capital One's pay policies

+ Key member of a small but mighty team responsible for readying the organization and facilitating the midyear and year-end compensation cycles across the globe

+ Identify solutions to complex issues by leveraging key business partners, data, and the Workday system to drive a positive associate experience

+ Conduct ad hoc analysis, research, and trouble-shooting

+ Develop presentations to influence the Compensation Leadership Team and other key stakeholders regarding changes and investments

+ Perform empathy interviews to gather feedback on compensation systems and processes in order to improve the customer experience

+ Documents system requirements, test system changes, and updates process documentation

+ Develop educational materials and communications designed to provide associates, managers, and HR partners with timely and accurate information regarding compensation systems and processes

+ Provide consultation to HR and business clients on compensation processes, policies, and systems.



Basic Qualifications:



+ Bachelor's Degree or military experience

+ At least 2 years of experience in compensation or finance, or analytics

+ Proficient in MS Excel/Google Sheets

+ Proficient in developing data-based stories in MS Powerpoint/Google Slides for an executive audience



Preferred Qualifications:



+ Master's Degree in Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Human Resources

+ Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

+ 5+ years of experience in Compensation

+ Experience with Workday

+ Experience building compensation models and conducting pay analysis

+ Experience in the Financial Services Industry

+ Knowledge of human resources and compensation including knowledge of relevant Federal, State, Local laws/regulations relating to compensation
