Adjunct Instructor for Radiologic Technology; Clinical Instructor

The successful Radiologic Technology Adjunct Instructor and Clinical Instructor must have an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology. To teach a didactic course, a Bachelor’s degree. General Summary:

The Adjunct Clinical Instructor for Radiologic Technology Clinical provides guidance, instruction, practice, oversight, and assessment in coordination with the syllabus and faculty Clinical Coordinator with respect to the clinical site staff, supervisors, and management.

Primary Duties:

This position reports to the Clinical Coordinator or designee for the area assigned. The Adjunct Instructor for Radiologic Technology; Clinical Instructor instructs and mentors junior and/or senior students in the radiology clinical settings. This position completes all required student evaluations, image and procedure grades and submits to Clinical Coordinator as designated. The Adjunct Instructor for Radiologic Technology; Clinical Instructor is responsible for working effectively within a small group of colleagues; developing and maintaining positive relationships with the site affiliate clinical staff, supervisors, and management; and upholding confidentiality and privacy requirements for students and patients at the clinical site and beyond.



  • ARRT Certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R) and in good standing. Post-primary certification is preferred, but not required.
  • A current Basic Life support (AHA-BLS) certification.
  • 2000 documented hours of experience as a registered technologist

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

  • Skilled in all areas of radiography to include physical principals, digital terminology, image quality, routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures, and fluoroscopy.
  • Knowledge of effective patient care to include HIPAA, sterile techniques, emergency protocol, safe and ergonomic patient transfer techniques.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products, the learning management system (D2L), and other software products as necessary.
