Cascades East is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, providing an incredible rural medicine experience. The clinic is a certified Patient Centered Primary Care Medical Home, with an emphasis on team-based care and innovation. Sky Lakes Medical Center, the hospital at which the Cascades East Family Medicine Residency program is based, is the only hospital for the Klamath Basin. The combination of a strong medical community and populations with significant health care needs makes Klamath Falls a unique setting to practice and train. Providers work within the full scope of family medicine, often caring for entire families from newborns all the way to grandparents.

The appointee will function as a clinician and preceptor at Cascades East Family Medicine Center and will have privileges at Sky Lakes Medical Center. Academically, the applicant will have a primary appointment in Family Medicine. The Appointee will practice clinical medicine at this site, and other approved sites when appropriate.

Responsibilities include:

• Work collaboratively with full and part time faculty to maintain an active practice
• Supervise family medicine residency educational activities
• Participate in and be available for teaching activities
• Serve as preceptor for Family Medicine residents and interprofessional students
• The Appointee will directly see patients or precept in the clinic on an as needed basis
• The Appointee will be expected to document using the electronic health record and maintain complete and timely patient care documentation consistent with OHSU and Cascades East policies and procedures
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to developing the practice into a vibrant clinical and academic operation, which is successful from both a professional and business perspective

Compensation for the position will include a per diem payment. By mutual agreement between the Department and the physician, this position may include Inpatient Care with call duties being shared with the faculty inpatient call group.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible. (Licensed in Oregon)
• M.D./D.O. degree as well as a graduate medical education in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency
• Capable of providing comprehensive health services
• Certified to prescribe
