Enel X, a leading provider of cloud-based energy intelligence software(EIS), has a need for a Data Operations Intern to join our world-class Operations organization. The mission of the Data Operations Team is to ensure that Enel X's data are fit for their commercial purposes. We are responsible for validating the data of all customers for the purpose of both EIS and demand response. For demand response, Enel X is compensated and in turn compensates our customers based on whether they curtailed their energy use during a dispatch in line with their target curtailment. For EIS, persistent monitoring and alerting helps customers save money through insights into avoidable usage and peak demand charges. Enel X uses interval metering data to quantify performance and savings.

The Data Operations Intern will demonstrate curiosity, creativity and initiative to help process data quality cases and ensure Enel X has accurate data to settle demand response events and to provide insight for our EIS customers. You will become an expert in Enel X's core operational processes and will develop a deep understanding ofthe issues surrounding load curtailment, emergency backup generation and demand response programs across the nation. This full time paid internship will run from January - July.
About the Job:

- Analyze, identify and correct data quality issues within our Energy, Customer and Financial platforms (Enel X application and CRM tools)
- Develop a deep understanding of load meters, registrations, data streams, generators and their typical performance profiles
- Format and verify utility data in Excel for insert into the application
- Triage and escalate complex data quality issues to senior team members
- Validate data for installations at new and existing sites
- Track work via cases in CRM tools
- Perform and present in-depth analysis of data quality issues and trends
- Recommend improvements to processes or tools
- Provide status updates to the Data Operations team regarding progress and potential roadblocks
- Respond to and/or escalate customer questions about demand response participation and EIS data quality

About You:
- Studying Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or other analytical field
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Desire to learn new technologies and develop expertise in demand response/energy management
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast paced, forward moving environment

Above and Beyond:
- Prior experience within and/or passion for the clean tech sector
- Prior experience with a programming language such as R or Python
