The Manufacturing Production Planner/Scheduler will manage the organization's Owings Mills and 3rd Party powder production plan used to optimize inventory levels and support on-time delivery for our customers.


  1. Monthly coordination and execution of the Production Planning (MRP) process utilizing ERP and planning software to define Raw Material and Packaging requirements.
  2. Uses the organization's demand plan to identify when products should be manufactured based on defined product family inventory requirements. Maintains the required parameters for product family inventory requirements (A, B, C groupings).
  3. Coordinates the monthly production planning update process including the preparation of all required inputs for monthly S&OP meetings.
  4. Measures accuracy of actual inventory vs. planned inventory, ensuring no stock outs of materials and no interruption of manufacturing, by working very closely with the Manufacturing Department, Raw Materials warehouse and the planning team.
  5. Fully support upcoming transition to Oracle Cloud ERP system as it relates to production planning (will include testing, training, transition plan, rollout/go-live support, issue identification and resolution, etc)
  6. Participate and eventually lead daily Mfg schedule reviews with Manufacturing team and Raw Materials Warehouse.
  7. Manages requirements and tracking of activities and outputs of subcontracted finished goods at our 3rd party powder partner, working closely with our local Manufacturing and Sourcing teams.
  8. Prepares required reports and presentations for monthly S&OP meetings including inventory accuracy reports, reports by market segment, product, facility or whatever is deemed necessary.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics or other technical-oriented degree with 5 to 7 years' experience in the field or related area (food manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Experience using forecasting data
  • Experience using forecasting data
  • Experience in WMS, NAV, Oracle or Oracle Cloud preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge
  • Very detail oriented & strong organizational skills
  • Ability to stay focused on details to maintain accurate and timely inventory analysis
  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorties to meet required deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency utilizing management processes to integrate software capabilities, spreadsheets and other analysis tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in business software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Thorough understanding of MRP/ERP as it relates to production planning & inventory management
  • Must be open to work overtime to meet deadlines when required
