The Ground Support Equipment Worker makes repairs to Ground Support Equipment (GSE) following orders of a higher-grade worker, troubleshooting malfunctions of GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools, prepares GSE for storage and transportation. Uses automated maintenance data systems to maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions, maintains external fuel and grounding systems. This worker performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation, services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air, disassembles and assembles GSE accessories and components.
Makes adjustments and settings such as cable tension and seat movement settings and adjustments. Obtains standard parts such as fuel and oil line connections and fittings, cable linkage, and spark plug cables and harnesses by referring to parts manuals and by making comparisons with samples.
In addition, the Ground Support Equipment Worker removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories, stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications. Handles,? uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations, and practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention and safety at all times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This classification activity is usually accomplished in a hanger/flight line-like environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
The diversity of work conditions may range an environment where there is little on no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc.? May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.?

- Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
- There is a great deal of standing, climbing, bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to obtain an approved status from the Contractor Verification System which includes a 7 year back ground check and obtain Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) ID for base access.

- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to possess and maintain tools required on a minimum tool listing within 30 days of hire date
