As a Certified Medical Assistant - Clinic, you will:
Obtain and records vitals and medical information accurately in EHR Prepare provider notes and labs daily Performs all duties assigned by physicians, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, and clinic manager Monitor provider schedules and organize patient flow Contributes to overall clinic activities including attending all meetings and trainings Perform basic lab procedures (venipuncture, UA/UC, UDS, HCG), collect specimens for processing, maintains lab according to standards Accurately bill ancillary services Perform EKGs Manage laboratory supplies, ordering, and sterilization Manage laboratory schedule Order, prepare, and administer long acting injections as directed by physician Administer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment (on the job Brainsway certification and training required) Triage patient phone calls according to physician/clinic protocol Refill prescriptions according to clinic protocol Obtain and track prior authorizations for medication and treatments Assist in front desk duties Administer and document psychiatric rating scales Assist in completing and coordinating referrals as directed by physicians Answer all calls in a professional and timely manner Assist in patient education Ability to work as a cohesive team member and professionally communicate with peers
Experience working in a busy psychiatric clinic TMS certification CPR certification Knowledge of clozapine management preferred
High School diploma Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA Knowledge of medical practices (gained through an accredited school) Knowledge and oriented and educated in gender, culture, and age appropriate mental health care Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical and diagnostic procedures, first aid, and some coding and insurance procedures Ability to think critically, problem solve, and make safe judgement calls in stressful situations Ability to communicate in a professional matter both verbally and in written form Basic computer skills using Microsoft Outlook and Word
