Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Senior Systems Engineer / Analyst
KBR is seeking to hire an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Systems Engineer / Analyst that will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (until recently known as the Integrated Air And Missile Defense Project Office (IAMD)) Systems Engineering Team to produce system and software designs and develop engineering artifacts to support integration of new weapons and sensors into the existing IFMC architecture, including integration of the new Integrated Fires Protection Capability (IFPC). The position includes: 1) analysis and design of the interface of new weapons and sensors into the Integrated Fire Control Network (IFCN), 2) developing and allocating performance requirements across the interface, 3) reviewing, analyzing, and contributing to the IFMC system model and 4) providing engineering guidance to the Agile development teams. The position may include technical briefings to leadership on recommended courses of action, trade studies, system and software design, performance, risks, and impacts to the mission.
The candidate must be familiar with AMD concepts and must have design experience. The candidate must have experience in at least one of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, embedded software, real-time software, near real-time software, or distributed software. The candidate should be familiar with SysML and modeling tools, such as MagicDraw; object oriented analysis and design; must be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset; must be proficient navigating and extracting data from requirements databases.

- Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics,
- Must have a minimum of 5 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above,
The ideal candidate will have specific knowledge and experience with one (1) or more of the following systems: Combat Identification (CID), Identify Friend or Foe (IFF), Integrated Defense Design (IDD), Link-16, cyber, automation of embedded testing, or direct IFPC experience. An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. The ability to "move out" with your designs, enthusiasm, independent critical thinking and a team attitude are important, as well as the ability to adapt to change in an Agile development environment. Please note, as part of the government team you will be the design agent for IFMC; the prime contractor develops the code based upon government provided designs.
Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
