The Building People is seeking a Project Manager SME (Subject Matter Expert) for supporting a large and diverse Professional Services team involving infrastructure, engineering, architectural, cost estimating, condition assessment, planning, construction services team with detailed knowledge and field experience with;

National Park Service project experience;

  • National Monuments, Trail Systems, National Battlefield sites, National Historical sites, National Reserve, National Scenic Highway, National Historic Site
  • NPS Region 1 Expertise – Northeast down thru West Virginia
  • FMSS system for data reporting
  • PMIS System for cost estimating
  • UNIFORMAT II data classification

Professional planning services includes the following

• Site Use Programming

• Integrated Design

• Regulatory Analysis (jurisdictions, codes, permits)

• Class C Construction Cost Estimate

• Preliminary development drawings

• Division 1 Specifications

• Division 2 through 49 Outline Specifications

• Contract Price Schedule

• Geotechnical site survey

• Hazardous materials testing

• Site utility location services

• CCTV Scoping of subsurface water/wastewater systems

Responsibilities/Duties

Deliverables will include;

  • Quality Control Plan à QASP
  • Company Safety Plan
  • Work plan and schedule developed in MS Project by park and PSA activity PSA Deliverables
  • Project Scoping Assessment report
  • Project Scoping Cost Estimate
  • Inspection report from each site closeout meeting, to include: Emergency Maintenance Deficiencies
  • Project narratives that reflect scope of work, including “description”, “justification”, and “measurable results” for use in PMIS statement

Required Skills

  • 7-10 years of professional services project management experience
  • Operate as a member of a survey team, in a field situation, outside in the elements
  • Conduct all scope of services abiding by safety precautions
  • Accessing facilities through ladders, roof ladders
  • Self-starter, minimal management oversight
  • Ability to travel and work in remote locations

Preferred Skills

  • Historical sites expertise

Required Education

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field (may substitute technical college/trade school plus experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE or EIT) or Registered Architect
