Prepare and assist in performing invasive imaging procedures of a highly technical nature under the direct supervision of a Radiologist/Cardiologist. Provides care for patients of all ages including adults and geriatrics based upon defined standards of patient care.

2. Demonstrates proficiency and skill in the operation of digital radiographic imaging equipment following state and department radiation safety measures.
3. Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.
4. Responsible for call shifts/duties as scheduled.
5. Encourages patient and family to participate in healthcare decisions and teaching.
6. Accurately screens patients following department screening from and notifying Physician or RN if patient has history of contrast allergy or if one occurs, IV infiltration, positive pregnancy status or any abnormal findings.
7. Assumes personal responsibility for maintaining professional development, credentials, certifications, licensure and continuing education
8. Other duties as assigned.
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (required)
Licensure/Certification
Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (required)
State of Kentucky License required
BLS Certification required
ACLS Certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment or transfer
CI/RCIS or VI pathway must be completed within 18 months of employment or transfer
Experience
One year recent hospital Radiology experience required
One year of IVR/Cath Lab experience preferred
