Essential Duties of Position for all Levels:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance involving removal, disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, testing, troubleshooting, and installation on all company aircraft.
- Perform pre-flight and post flight inspections.
- Monitor and update aircraft and engine logbooks, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance forms, maintenance discrepancy forms and all maintenance manuals.
- Responsible to order, receive, and return parts to vendors as required. Maintain inventory of spare parts.
- Possess and maintain adequate tools necessary to perform all maintenance tasks. Maintain calibration records of test equipment.
- Require to maintain all company aircraft to FAA and manufactures standards.

- Wide-ranging knowledgeable of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people of diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent organization, planning, analytical and problem solving skills: the ability to assess situations quickly and follow-up efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret complex data, and effectively present information to management.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals.
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical systems for aircraft.
- Team oriented work style, with a pro-active open-minded and flexible approach.
- Ability to function effectively in a demanding, fast-paced, and constantly changing work environment with exceptional tolerance to stress. Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to difficult challenging situations.
- Proficient in the use of computers and applications i.e., Windows, Outlook. PowerPoint, Excel and the Internet.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in a clear speaking voice, and understand the English language.
- Disciplined and responsible attitude and outlook.
Certifications: Valid current FAA Mechanic Certificates may contribute to education.
This is a senior level technician within the discipline of maintenance and repair of aircraft. Is recognized as the subject matter expert (SME) and possesses advanced skill sets within the discipline. Performs most complex assignments, works with no supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment; and is fully proficient in the field.
Minimum qualifications: Minimum up to seven (7) years' work experience with Bombardier Challenger 604 jet aircraft maintenance including all mechanical, electrical and ground support experience. Experience with Military aircraft maintenance background desirable.
Experience can be:
- Attending 170 FAR part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician Schools -
- FAA Repair Station or FBO under supervision of a certified mechanic for 18/30 months equal to 2 certifications.
- Armed services training and experience in aircraft maintenance - FAA recognized.
Level of Education required to meet minimum qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of Aviation Technical School or undergraduate degree in aviation maintenance required. Preferred to have and maintain an Airframe and Powerplant license.
Job Requirements At All Levels
Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit with good coordination to lift or pull objects weighing as much as 70 pounds frequently and follow company safety practices. Ability to stand, lie, or kneel in awkward positions and to perform work from scaffolds or ladders. Manual dexterity required to operate tools to make adjustments and repairs. Visual acuity sufficient to inspect equipment for defects. Hearing sufficient to test for sounds of correct or incorrect functioning of aircraft. Visual acuity necessary to identify color-coding.
Working Conditions: Must be able and willing to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, overtime, weekends, holidays, evenings. Work is usually in hangars or in other indoor areas. When hangars are full or when repairs must be made quickly, work may be outdoors, in unpleasant weather. Noise and vibration are common. Must be able to cope with working under pressure to identify and repair mechanical problems and be responsible for the safety of aircraft passengers and crew. The company and its subsidiaries operate in a 24/7 environment providing critical services to Alaskans and may need to respond to public health and safety matters or other business emergencies. Due to business needs employees may be contacted outside of the normal business hours to respond to the immediate emergency. You will be requested to provide an emergency after hours contact numbers.
Drug Testing: Participation in a DOT or non-DOT drug and alcohol testing program may be required to satisfy conditions of a contract or proposed contract with a business partner or client. This includes: pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return to duty, and follow-up testing.
Fitness for Duty: Ability to pass a pre-employment or return to work physical and fitness for duty examination may be required to satisfy conditions of a contract or proposed contract with a business partner or client.
Driving Requirements (if applicable): Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and satisfactory driving record.
