Job Title: Landscaper
Reports To: Grounds and Facilities Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

SUMMARY: Performs landscaping and other property management services on properties owned or managed by the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs landscape services on all properties owned or managed by the organization to include but not be limited to cutting, trimming, mulching, and operating landscape equipment including walk behind and riding mowers, power trimmers, blowers and cutters, chain saws, and company vehicles and trailers.

• Maintains an inventory of equipment, supplies, and parts for use in the provision of landscape services.

• Performs routine maintenance on the equipment.

• Participates directly in the performance of other property management functions that include but are not limited to interior painting, gutter cleaning, carpet cleaning and window washing.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

One or more years experience in landscaping or other property management activities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures using basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to work with and among persons with disabilities, ability to cooperate and communicate with co-workers, tenants and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to diagnose and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must have valid drivers license and be insurable at NCCH’s current rate.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to higher volume.
