Description: Job Title: Senior Associate, Inventory Management Job Code: IMP2 Job Location: Salt Lake City, Utah This position requires regular hours on-site in Salt Lake City, UT. Relocation is not offered at this time. As part of a Facilities Maintenance Team, the Inventory Management Specialist will provide operations & maintenance customer service support within the maintenance, repair and operations inventory storeroom, maintaining vehicles in the L3Harris fleet and training employees in forklift, boom lift and scissor lift training. They will be responsible for the efficient and effective daily activities including the receipt, storage, staging and movement of materials as directed by the storeroom supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs analysis on material usage and identifies opportunities to improve overhead inventory levels - Writes purchase requisitions through Ariba - Works with Supply Chain to obtain compliant project quotes for materials and services - Performs pricing analysis and maintain price analysis history for stock and non-stock materials, parts, tools, and equipment to quickly identify and document best value sources - Conducts inventory and cycle counts on Facilities parts and materials - Develops, updates, and maintains inventory min/max levels according to vendor lead times, department usage, and other factors - Assists Facilities personnel in finding and checking out needed parts and materials utilizing the handheld scanner (MMS - Material Management System) and other tracking systems - Develops processes and methods which organize and maintain the Crib and Materials in a manner that maximizes efficiencies, strong Continuous Improvement mindset - Maintains a strong work relationship with Maintenance and Facilities Personnel as well as all Engineers, Technicians, Tool Room personnel and Mechanics to insure strong communications concerning any and all parts requirements/concerns - Ensures established processes are followed, i.e. forms are complete, accurate, & timely (includes consumption, issues, stock out, cycle counts) etc. - Knowledge to Maintain Fleet Vehicles and records - Ability to write and conduct training classes for forklifts, PITs and other job required responsibilities - Familiarity with the principles of inventory management - Able to prioritize work based on customer need and complete tasks in a timely manner. - Ability to follow, modify and create processes. - Ability to move 50+ lbs Qualifications: 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience OR 8 years relevant related experience - 5 years of increasing levels of responsibility and experience ordering material or similar operations. Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. - Valid US driver's license - 2 years experience with Lean, 5S or other Continuous Process Improvement methodologies - 4 years professional experience with and the ability to utilize MSOffice Additional Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with material management systems (MMS) or related software highly desirable. - Self-starter who can demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced environment - Experience in supporting a maintenance department a plus. - Must have strong verbal and written communication skills - Must have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to negotiate "win win" outcomes.
