As the Project Management Specialist, you will use your project and organizational skills to be responsible for management of various projects that drive revenue, increase productivity and improve processes. These projects span across the White Oak Co-Gen Plant and office buildings. You will be in a visible position and will require direct interaction with government agencies. Your projects will vary depending on the organization being supported and therefore requires a vast knowledge across various business practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor project schedules
- Ensure projects are on or ahead of schedule
- Report project progress to the Site Operations Manager
- Evaluate subcontractor performance
- Assemble project closeout documents and warranties
· Document Management by managing site folder structure (virtual server so there is a central location) and ensure n ew projects are tracked for any changes
· Oversee the payroll process
· Back-up for preventative maintenance tickets in Maximo
· Manage Deliverables per GSA requirements
· Ensure new projects have proper handoff to Maximo representative
· Log all government issued forms ( NTE, MOD's, 1449 forms, etc.) for proposals and ensure they are routed properly
· Manage Maximo database and backup administrator for Maximo as needed.
· Develop and manage the physical Construction Site Library (drawings, specifications, submittals, Commissioning, etc.,) for each project
· Manage change order work log for the fiscal year for reporting
· Track all Central Utility Plant (CUP) repairs and all subcontractors' work completed outside of their service agreement
· Tracking for material, contracts, subcontractor, SOW, etc.
· Tracking employee's hours and approved overtime
· 4+ years managing building related projects (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
· 2+ years office management experience
· Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage priorities
· Expertise with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and SharePoint
· Knowledge of IT and financial systems preferred (SAP, timberline etc.).
· Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in cross-functional collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation.
