Kimley-Horn is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer in Training and P.E. to join our new and rapidly expanding Colorado Springs, CO team. The candidate shall be able to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously with an entrepreneurial spirit with eventual desire to develop as a Project Manager.


Duties of the position include civil plan production for various projects, site layout/design, utilities layout/design, file management, and assisting in preparation of submittal packages along with mentoring and training our more junior staff. Candidate must be proficient at preparing civil construction drawings in Civil 3D. Candidate must be able to work with a team of civil designers and engineers.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college is required.
  • EIT OR PE Registration.
  • 2+ years of experience in land development civil engineering required.
  • Working knowledge of Autocad and Civil 3D.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Must be organized and good attention to detail & excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • An entrepreneurial spirit
  • Potential/Desire to lead a practice and manage clients and a team long term.

Salary Range:

  • $65,000 - $95,000
