Looking for candidates with at least 1 year in Polysomnography and certification as Clinical Sleep Educator

Must have an active Ohio Respiratory Care license, RRT certification, and Respiratory Care Degree.

Location: Main Hospital Pulmonary Lab

The Technician must demonstrate competence defined (*) in Polysomnography Technologist responsibilities in providing age-appropriate care to patients from the age of birth through 21-years, and selected adult patients. The technologists performs all respiratory tasks within the scope of practice of a licensed respiratory care provider.

Essential Duties:

  • Meets with clinic patients referred from healthcare providers or as part of internal CPAP follow-up protocol to review progress with plan of care and provide training to facilitate most effective device/equipment usage and therapeutic results.
  • Downloads and reviews/analyzes date from devices/equipment procured by patients through their medical equipment provider; makes digital adjustments to device/equipment based on patient needs and to optimize therapeutic value.
  • Documents all interactions in the patient's medical record via EPIC in accordance with established procedure.
  • Performs device/equipment cleaning and maintenance activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • May perform respiratory care procedures as necessary.

Education/Work Experience Requirements

  • Work experience in PAP therapy is required.
  • The candidate must have a current CPR card
  • One year’s experience in Polysomnography.
  • Current Certification as Clinical Sleep Educator (CSE) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) preferred or be Registry Eligible for BPRT exam
  • Graduate of an AMA approved two years Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Must hold a valid respiratory credential-RRT, from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current OH license in Respiratory Care.
