The Corporate Legal Assistant / Corporate Paralegal will provide general administrative and paralegal support to Andersen’s Legal team and respond to requests with appropriate action and confidentiality. Primary responsibilities include file maintenance, formatting documentation, tracking project deadlines, monitoring legal matter expenses & processing invoices, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, composing routine letters and memoranda, preparing databases to track information, and assisting with expense reimbursement. The Corporate Legal Assistant / Corporate Paralegal will regularly communicate with “internal” clients at all levels and support attorneys working in several areas of corporate law including governance, litigation, trademark, employment, privacy, insurance, and securities. Ideal candidates including corporate paralegals, legal assistants/paralegals with law firm backgrounds, or highly experienced executive assistants interested in law.
• At least 3-5 years administrative or paralegal experience supporting multiple executives, a corporate legal department or law firm preferred;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to draft communications;
• Strong writing skills;
• Professional demeanor;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high pressure environment;
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
