Maintenance Engineer (114364)

Position Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Maintenance and is located at the Lake Charles Chemical Complex in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Purpose of Job

Provide a leadership role within the maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution processes

• Aligns department processes to provide sound engineering and maintenance practices
• Will monitor and develop service provider contracts as assigned
• Interface with Reliability Group as well as other departments to drive and mitigate issues with equipment
• Will monitor and facilitate necessary actions to ensure the maintenance department successfully meets or exceeds customer expectations

Key Accountabilities

Assures efficient and effective delivery of Maintenance Services by:

• Ensures maintenance practices and systems optimize operational availability
• Monitors and/or implements maintenance work execution systems to ensure compliance, efficiencies, and timely response to operational needs
• Drives long-term maintenance improvements
• Works with Craft Superintendents and Supervisors to develop and execute maintenance plans
• Assures maintenance plans and execution comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Ensures overall best practices align with current workflows and practices.
• Effectively works within a team or stand-alone environments
• Actively minimizes maintenance costs by looking for and documenting cost-saving opportunities
• Works with Service Providers to ensure alignment with Maintenance Processes.
• Monitors and works with cost and unit personnel to ensure MM&C and Maintenance departmental budgets are met
• Oversees KPI creation and compliance to enhance maintenance practices
• Provides guidance and leadership to effectively work with other groups to develop strategies to meet long-term goals and business objectives
• Clearly communicates with customers and other service groups to eliminate safety or operational barriers
• Ensure planning and scheduling activities are aligned
• Ensures alignment and oversight of assigned service providers
• Serves as Maintenance contact for assigned production area(s)

Formal Education

• Bachelor of Science in one of the following disciplines Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering

Working Experience

• 5+ years of engineering discipline or plant maintenance experience
• Operational experience - preferred
