We are expanding our services to support all team members and stakeholders for an upcoming multi-use development located in the Orlando, FL area. Responsibilities include integrating with the developers, Architect, General Contractor and other stakeholders in developing, maintaining and reporting on the master construction schedule, cost estimate, basis of estimate, scope dictionaries, and work breakdown structure.

All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized. Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with A/E on initial design and subsequent design changes to inform cost estimating of latest project costs and schedule for construction.
  • Interfaces with General Contractor on design development to incorporate into construction schedules.
  • Prepares and maintains the master construction project schedule, as well as subproject schedules for monitoring and tracking progress
  • Maintains configuration control of changes to requirements that impact the cost and schedule of the project.
  • Provides reporting of schedule progress and impacts to completion of progress on overall project completion.
  • Interfaces with A/E, General Contractor and Subcontractors to discuss impact of work progress and resolution of problems.
  • Contributes to the development of a working schedule for cost estimating, prior to construction, which sufficiently illustrates the sequence of work activities and contract time.
  • Ensures resource and/or cost loading of schedule to ensure manpower availability meets demand.
  • Serves as technical advisor for the solution of difficult construction problems.
  • Consults Project Management Office to ensure that proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work.
  • Assists General Contractor in creating short-term schedules, monitor such schedules to determine impact on integrated master schedule, and help in formulating actions to correct scheduling problems.
  • Identifies scheduling software training needs among employees and provides training when necessary; remain current on the advancements in scheduling software.
  • Coordinates estimate development to develop strategies, detailed plans, and supporting documentation for cost estimates.
  • Ensures direct staff professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.
  • 15 years minimum of experience in the design, construction or consulting industry.
  • Knowledge and experience supporting from concept to final design phases.
  • Sound knowledge of project scheduling "best practices" required.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling software (Oracle Primavera P6) and schedule analysis software (Deltek Acumen Fuse) is required.
  • Must be able to build and maintain accurate and up-to-date complex construction schedules working with multiple calendars.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and integrating multiple schedules into a master schedule.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook required.
  • Must be familiar with commercially available cost estimating software.
  • Project Management Professional, Certified Cost Professional, or Certified Construction Manager certification preferred.
  • Is able to efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Consistently demonstrates a high attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively with all team members and stakeholders, and the ability to work independently and take direction from management.

Job Qualifications

  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • BS/BA degree in relevant field of study. Alternately, an accredited high school certificate plus eight (8) years of specialized business management experience in addition to the requisite experience
  • Ten of directly applicable experience in consulting support and management
  • Excellent communication and interface skills; ability to elicit information and utilize in development of products and provision of support.
