- Provides security, safety and loss control by monitoring, observing, reporting and taking appropriate action
- Provides superior service to our guests
- Must seek out opportunities to be of service
- Maintain highly visible patrols to insure a safe gaming experience
- Responds appropriately to a wide variety of property, life or asset-threatening conditions with immediate assistance
- Maintains the confidentiality of pertinent information
- Observes safety hazards, violations of policies, procedures, rules or laws, and reports to shift management
- Assure quality support to other departments so that they may serve guests more effectively
- Promote the property promotions and events
- Coordinates and communicates with other Security personnel or Boomtown staff to provide optimum security and customer service
- Maintains accountability for assigned monies during fills, drops and escorts, and other assigned duties
- Monitors and protects Boomtown and customer assets within his/her control, reporting theft and/or destruction promptly to appropriate personnel
- Answers questions, offers assistance as required and generally functions as a departmental host for Boomtown's customers
- Completes a wide variety of paperwork on a daily basis as needed by the department and by the company
- Create fun and excitement with the customer
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in casino security, security, or law enforcement preferred
- Requires a clean driving record and a valid MS Driver's License
- Certification in AED, CPR and First Aid preferred
- Basic skills and understanding of computers preferred
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Previous customer service experience
- Able to handle stressful situations dealing with the general public
- Ability to work in an environment, which may be noisy and/or have excessive cigarette smoke
- Need tact when dealing with difficult customers
- Run on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs
- Ability to identify and quickly respond to potential problems and conflicts and defend self and others in combative situations
- Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas including walking and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to multi task as required (security officers cover a wide variety of different posts and work with all departments)
- Required to initiate positive interactions with guests and employees
- Actively patrolling sections/floor looking for interaction opportunities, answering calls while still maintaining the ability to build relationships
- The ability to operate company motor vehicles
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
- Must complete Serv Safe alcohol training course.
