Project Manager

Specifics of the role

• Build client and subcontractor relationships.
• Communicate effectively with client, Plateau's other team members and subcontractors, and local jurisdictions. Communications may extend to the client's design team.
• Accept full responsibility of the management and execution of the project.
• Mentor and develop project management staff.

What we expect

• Project manager will coordinate scope of work with the client, client's other subcontractors, our subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

• Supervise project support team members and subcontractors.

• Manage supplier procurement and contracts.

• Monitor the delivery of all needed materials for the project(s), ensuring timely delivery and appropriate billing.

• Manage subcontractor procurement and contracts.

• Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices.

• Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with the construction documents.

• Monitor deviations in project scope and communicate with the client.

• Price or work with our estimating team to price the out-of-scope items and plan revisions.

• Review and track project invoices to ensure appropriate billings and manage material needs.

• Prepare pay applications and change orders for the project(s).

• Maintain job files to ensure continuity of work flow.

• Generate, review, distribute, and track RFI's.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Proficient in Agtek.

Items to know

• Travel is required for this position due the nature of our work. Our projects are typically based in the Southeast, and we have recently expanded our footprint in other East Coast areas.

• Projects are fast paced.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or 7 to 10 years of management experience.

• 5 to 15 years of experience managing sitework construction projects: erosion control, excavation, and utility installation.

• Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.

• Previous experience of successful project management.

• Ability to walk a job site, climb ladders, and traverse slopes.

• May be required to lift and carry short distances up to 50 pounds.
