Medical Laboratory Scientist/Day/1.0 $10,000 hiring bonus
Medical Laboratory Scientist/Variable/0.01 (PRN) no hiring bonus
Provides accurate, timely, and cost effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides technical expertise to Providence Laboratory and other institutions.

Required qualification:
- Must satisfy the education requirements of the applicable certifying agency: ASCP And
- Rural Site Only: Meet CLIA personnel requirements for high complexity testing personnel.
- Required within 1 year of hire National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
- Required within 1 year of hire National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
- Required within 1 year of hire National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts Or
- Required within 1 year of hire National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or
- Required within 1 year of hire National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology
Preferred qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science or in the chemical or biological sciences Or equivalent educ/experience
- Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, including 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of biological science (with one semester in microbiology), 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of chemistry (with one semester in organic or biochemistry), and
- MLT(ASCP) certification; and
- Two years of full time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and urinalysis/body fluids in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory (CMS CLIA certificate of registration, compliance, accreditation; OR JCI accreditation; OR Accreditation under ISO 15189) within the last four years.
