Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Assist in network design, implementation, and testing
• Provide network support with a variety of operating systems
• Install and configure network equipment
• Maintain network connectivity of all computer/phone/server systems
• Provide network support to users
• Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings
• Develop and monitor policies and security for the use of network resources
• Implement and manage disaster recovery back-up and security breach plans
• Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades
• Monitor network to ensure optimal performance
• Create and maintain network users/permissions
• Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility
• Create technical support documentation for systems and applications
• Necessary travel to implement new locations
• Some Nights/Weekends/On-Call required

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts
• Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills
• Hands-on/remote technical troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Knowledge of computing infrastructures
• Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency with scripting languages ( CLI, PowerShell)
• Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Degree in Computer related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a network administration role
• Previous experience with Microsoft Windows server 2008-2020 preferred
• Previous experience with Cisco, Watchguard, Fortinet, or Palo Alto switches and routers preferred
• CISSP, CCNA, CCNP certification a plus

A Successful Network Administrator must consistently demonstrate the company's Mission and Values. They must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, drivers and other team members in person and on the telephone. They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful Network Administrator must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Finally, they must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
