Client Billing Manager

Summary:

As part of the Finance group, the Client Billing Manager will be responsible for the calculation, review, and analytics of client billing. The manager will work closely with members of Finance, Portfolio Management teams, Wealth Advisors, NB Trust Company, Business Support and Technology.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Investment Advisory fee billing process for high-net-worth clients
• Identify, develop and deliver improvements to existing billing processes
• Supervise the month-end general ledge close process; including reconciling revenue and receivable amounts in partnership with the Controller team
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to various billing stake holders; including finance, business support, operations, and advisor teams.
• Partner with technology group to address production issues, short-term goals and long-term strategic initiatives
• Manage User Acceptance Testing; including gathering of requirements and development of test scripts
• Lead the training of new/existing client service team members on best practices
• Assist with ad-hoc management or project-related requests and analysis
• Ensure accurate and organized process documentation

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of accounting or finance experience required
• Prior client billing experience required
• Prior managerial experience required
• Asset Management/Investment Advisory industry expertise preferred
• Advanced technical skills; extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and communications skills
• Excellent problem solving ability and ability to work with various levels of management
• Knowledge of SAP, Advantage Billing, Alteryx or Tableau a plus
• Detail-oriented and well organized
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under tight deadlines with high profile exposure

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $135,000-$165,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
