At Adzuna, our mission is simple: to help people find better, more fulfilling jobs.
Trust is the foundation of everything we do. Job seekers trust us to provide access to genuine opportunities, and employers trust us to present their roles to the right audience.
We take this responsibility seriously.
We work to support a safer job-search experience by using a combination of policies, technology, internal processes, and user reports to prevent poor quality content from appearing in our search results. We remove content that appears to violate our policies.
As a global job-matching platform that aggregates job listings from third-party sources, Adzuna does not create or control the content of individual listings. However, all new sources go through an onboarding and review process, and our partners must agree to job-posting terms that permit only genuine, high-quality vacancies.
We work hard to keep poor quality listings off of our platform. We know how frustrating and concerning this is for job seekers, and we share that frustration. Bad actors who attempt to misuse online platforms by posing as employers in order to scam job seekers harm users and damage trust across our entire industry. That’s why we are doing everything we can to stamp this out and protect our community.
Protecting our users is a top priority, and we continuously invest in technology, processes, and people to keep our marketplace safe.
Our Commitment to Trust & Safety
We are committed to:
- Doing all we can to keep bad job ads off our platform
- Working with industry partners and relevant authorities to tackle recruitment scams
- Supporting investigations and reporting to help stop bad actors
- Acting quickly when suspicious activity is detected
- Educating jobseekers on how to stay safe
- Continuously improving our systems and processes
Every job seeker deserves to search with confidence.
What We Do to Protect Job Seekers
- Strict Policies for Advertisers
We work with thousands of employers and job boards and require all partners to meet our strict quality and compliance standards. Advertisers who violate our policies are removed from the platform.
- Fast Response to Reports
We empower our community to help keep Adzuna safe.
- Every job listing includes a way to flag suspicious content
- Reports are investigated immediately by our Trust & Safety team
- Listings found to be fraudulent are removed promptly
If something doesn’t feel right, we want to know about it.
- Protective Measures
As well as our policies and report processes, we use a combination of automated systems and human review to identify suspicious content amongst our millions of job listings. These systems look for patterns and signals associated with fraudulent behaviour. We remove large volumes of job ads each week that do not meet our standards.
We use a combination of automated tools and human-led processes designed to help identify job listings that may violate our policies or indicate potential fraud. While we don’t moderate job listings before they go live, and no system can review or validate every listing perfectly, given fraudulent jobs can sometimes look like good ones, these measures enable us to take action at scale
- Education and Guidance
We believe prevention is one of the most effective ways to reduce the impact of fraud. That’s why we share practical guidance and trusted resources to help job seekers recognise suspicious activity and make informed decisions during their job search.

Trusted third-party resources
In the US, Adzuna works in partnership with the US service ReportFraud.
While we work to maintain high standards across our platform, some situations require specialist advice or formal reporting. In those cases, we encourage jobseekers to contact trusted, independent organisations that are equipped to investigate fraud and provide direct support. The following US resources offer official guidance, reporting channels, and practical help if you believe you’ve encountered a scam.

If you encounter a job listing or communication that doesn’t feel right, stop engaging. Don’t send further information. Don’t send money.
Report it to supportus@adzuna.com. Reports help us to investigate and take action where appropriate.
Our Ongoing Pledge

We continuously refine our detection systems, strengthen our policies, and expand our educational resources to stay ahead of emerging threats.
Together, we can make job searching safer for everyone.
